Meet ARDA

Hi, I’m Arda. I was born in Istanbul on April 24, 2007, and I’m currently a senior in The MacDuffie School in Granby, getting ready to apply to college.  I’m passionate about using technology to make a positive impact especially in areas like sustainable innovation, electric vehicles, and human-centered design.

I’ve always been curious about how things work especially when it comes to technology that can help people or protect the environment. 

I love building with Arduino and exploring how small circuits can lead to big ideas. My projects often combine creativity with purpose, from LEGO-based prototypes to nature-friendly tech experiments.

I recently started writing on Medium to share what I learn and think about. It’s new for me, but I enjoy putting my thoughts into words and connecting with others who care about similar things.

Outside of tech, I’m a competitive basketball player, a chess lover, and an outdoor sports enthusiast. 

For me, being an engineer starts with being human, curious, compassionate, and committed to building a better future.

I believe engineering isn’t just about solving problems. It’s about understanding people, caring about the world, and building things that matter.
